As a life coach, I work from a strengths-based, collaborative, and person centered approach. My coaching practice is informed by the work of Martha Beck, Laura Whitworth, Henry and Karen Kimsey House, Philip Sandahl, Deepak Chopra, Pema Chodron, Joseph Campbell and many others too numerous to mention here.
As a counselor, my work focuses on helping individuals identify blocks to living their ideal lives. Often, these challenges are rooted in our history and are deeply intertwined with our personal belief systems about who we are, what we can or should do and where we come from. By gently and persistently honoring these stories, energy is created which liberates the soul from trapped and wounded places and transformation happens before our eyes. I enjoy working from a Jungian perspective and also integrate complementary methodologies such as mindfulness and energy psychology.
Regarding my formal education, I hold Master's degrees in Counseling (Portland State University), Social Anthropology (Harvard University), and Social Science theory and history (University of Chicago). I'm blessed to have many interests and opportunities to pursue them. When I'm not working, you'll probably find me in the hills somewhere, getting my shoes muddy.
